New editorial formats, the artificial intelligence revolution, shifts in the science-society dialogue: the FMSH's 2026 Grand Format offers a day of talks and experiences exploring new ways to create, share and disseminate the humanities and social sciences.
The conditions for producing and circulating knowledge in the humanities are increasingly opening onto new territory: hybrid writing, collaborative annotation, multimedia platforms, artificial intelligence, new media.
Following the arc of research (from writing it to its circulation in the public sphere), this day aims to map out this new landscape and bring different perspectives on these ongoing upheavals face to face. How is research written in a world saturated with narratives?
Through what channels is it published and made visible? What becomes of scientific authority and dialogue with society in a fragmented, algorithm-driven media landscape? What ethical and technical challenges do new means of producing and disseminating research raise?
In short: how are the humanities today redefining the way they exist, circulate and share their work?
Through four sessions — Create, Publish, Disseminate, Dialogue — the FMSH's 2026 Grand Format brings together researchers, artists and professionals in publishing and scientific and cultural outreach, to compare perspectives and debate the shifts reshaping the humanities and social sciences today.
Conversations, screenings, a photography exhibition and book presentations will punctuate this day, conceived as a space for reflection, discovery and dialogue.
