30pm To mark 50 years of musique concrète, Michel Chion presents Musicien concret, auto-portrait en compositeur, a film concert for screen and acousmonium, with Jonathan Prager, acousmonium player.
Filmed in the Alpine valley of Vallorcine, in Haute-Savoie, the project features excerpts from his works over images of water, clouds and vegetation, whose rhythms and shifts in light intertwine with the music.
Planned to run eight hours in total, the project is presented here for the first time in a shorter two-and-a-half-hour version.
