Les Plus Belles Musiques des Films de Miyazaki | Grissini Project

From the very first notes, images arise almost despite ourselves. A sky opening up, a gust of wind, a child's gaze… Joe Hisaishi's music has this rare power: it doesn't simply accompany Hayao Miyazaki's films, it expresses their very soul.

Far more than mere background music, it conveys the characters' inner emotions and states of mind.

From the luminous delicacy of The Wind Rises to the joyful tenderness of My Neighbour Totoro, from the shifting poetry of Howl's Moving Castle to the playful, sensitive energy of Ponyo, each theme acts as an immediate emotional language.

If this music moves us so deeply, it's because it sets to sound what everyone feels intimately: nostalgia, wonder, gentle melancholy, hope. Performed live on stage by the Grissini Project, now a genuine star of screen music, these pieces take on a new dimension.

Freed from the screen, they reveal the full richness of their melody and expressive depth, inviting audiences on an inner journey of poetry, gentleness and intensity. The concert then becomes a shared, sensitive experience.

The audience listens, breathes, lets itself be swept up by memories and emotions. We smile, we're moved, sometimes we hold our breath. The music acts as an emotional memory: each listener attaches their own images, moods and personal memories to it.

Designed to be shared with family or friends, this concert speaks equally to fans of Japanese animation and to curious listeners discovering this world through music.

A suspended, deeply human moment, in which Joe Hisaishi's music gently reminds us that some emotions need no images to be fully felt — you simply have to listen to them, together. The Grissini Project: Romain Vaudé | Piano. Maja Samuelsson | Vocals. Florestan Raes | Violin.
