Les Plus Belles Musiques des Films de Miyazaki | Grissini Project

From the very first notes, the images rise up almost in spite of ourselves. A sky that opens, a breath of wind, a child's gaze… Joe Hisaishi's music possesses that rare power: it does not merely accompany Hayao Miyazaki's films, it expresses their deepest soul. Far more than simple incidental music, it conveys the inner emotions and states of mind of the characters. From the luminous delicacy of The Wind Rises to the joyful tenderness of My Neighbour Totoro, from the shifting poetry of Howl's Moving Castle to the playful yet sensitive impetus of Ponyo, each theme works as an immediate emotional language.

If this music moves us so deeply, it is because it gives sound to what each of us feels intimately: nostalgia, wonder, gentle melancholy, hope. Performed on stage by the Grissini Project, now a true star of music for the screen, these pieces take on a new dimension. Freed from the screen, they reveal all their melodic richness and expressive depth, inviting the audience on an inner journey made of poetry, tenderness and intensity.

The concert then becomes a sensitive, shared experience. The audience listens, breathes, and lets itself be carried along by memories and emotions. We smile, we are moved, sometimes we hold our breath. The music works as an emotional memory: each person attaches their own images, moods and personal recollections to it.

Designed to be shared as a family or with friends, this concert appeals equally to fans of Japanese animation and to curious spectators who wish to discover this world through music. A suspended moment, profoundly human, in which Joe Hisaishi's music gently reminds us that certain emotions need no images to be fully felt — we need only listen to them, together.
