LOL TOLHURST (EX-THE CURE) ft. GRAY (cold wave, electro, post-punk, indie rock / GB)

Lol Tolhurst is best known as one of the founding members of The Cure, one of the most influential, most popular and most critically acclaimed bands of all time. This musician, inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, has also made his mark on various musical projects, and turned to writing with the 2016 publication of his memoir, Cured - The Tale Of Two Imaginary Boys.

Tolhurst first met his childhood friend Robert Smith at the age of 5, when they attended the same school in the London suburb of West Sussex. They went on to found The Cure in 1976, with Tolhurst on drums, and toured the world extensively to promote their groundbreaking albums Three Imaginary Boys, Seventeen Seconds, Faith and Pornography. Lol later moved to keyboards before leaving the band in 1989, departing The Cure after recording their masterpiece, Disintegration.

This artist of boundless creativity has since settled in Southern California, where he has composed, recorded and toured with his band, Levinhurst. Tolhurst also took part in a memorable reunion tour with The Cure in 2011, when they performed together for the first time in more than twenty years. Tolhurst then wrote his first published book, Cured - The Tale Of Two Imaginary Boys, published by Hachette Books in 2016.
