Overview
A deep voice, somewhere between blues and soul, and songwriting that is not without evoking Nick Cave and Leonard Cohen: with All Out of Love, Mike Andersen delivers a haunted album that he will present to us in concert. For over 25 years, the discreet Danish singer and guitarist has established himself as one of the major figures in European blues. With All Out Of Love, undoubtedly his most personal album, he explores a new facet of his universe, nourished by a pivotal period in his life. Written in the wake of a divorce, this repertoire gives birth to direct and straightforward songs. For Mike Andersen, everything starts with emotion. He claims an instinctive writing style, as close as possible to what he feels, far from effects or the fixed codes of the genre. On stage, this authenticity immediately asserts itself. Carried by a warm voice and precise guitar playing, allowing silence and space their full place, this lover of BB King lets his music circulate with sincerity and freedom, freely moving between stripped-down folk, soulful impulses, and more electric moments.
