Pourquoi les Gens qui Sèment

By Sébastien BIZEAU Directed by Sébastien Bizeau With Gwenaëlle Couzigou, Matthieu Le Goaster, Paul Martin and Nastassia Silve CIE HORS DU TEMPS / CHASSELAUBE PROD / SESAM’PROD When she bursts into the town hall in the middle of a meeting on substitute water reservoirs, Chloé, an environmental activist, knows she is going to be arrested. On the platform facing her stands Antoine, the love of her life, now a prefect, whose order she has broken by going to the site of a mega-basin.

Chloé and Antoine love each other despite their disagreements. She calls for civil disobedience; he is responsible for keeping order. Neither of them wants to back down, each convinced that justice is on their side. But how can they stay together when the rules no longer command consensus? When legitimacy and legality come into conflict? Public meetings, TV studios and courtrooms then become the arena for this confrontation, over which hang Anouilh's Antigone and Racine's Bérénice.
