Overview
Psykup will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2025. The band has now earned the status of a mythical figure in the alternative scene, with 5 albums, an acoustic EP and two live DVDs. Beyond trends and beyond norms, the line-up has always been iconoclastic, demolishing clichés with humour, composure and determination. It has marked several generations, bringing Primus and Pantera, Strapping Young Lad and Alice In Chains together around the same table. A live war machine, Psykup has toured France, Belgium, Switzerland and Germany, and has stormed prestigious international festivals such as Les Eurockéennes de Belfort, Download Festival France, the legendary Boulevard in Morocco, Rockstadt in Transylvania, and a packed Hellfest won over by their contagious madness.
The band will release its 6th album, "The Joke of Tomorrow" (Verycords), on 11 April 2025. It already promises another aggressive and groovy musical journey, boosted by catchy harmonies, still wild and unapologetic.
