« PUNK.E.S ou comment nous ne sommes pas devenues célèbres  » is freely inspired by the true story of « The Slits  », the first all-female punk band from London. They formed in 1976 and broke up in 1979. There were four of them: Viv Albertine, Ari Up, Palmolive, and Tessa Pollitt. They were between fourteen and twenty years old. They achieved the feat of being the first band in the world to gain full control over their image with their record label. On stage and at a frantic pace, six artists interpret the six main roles. They also play the sixteen other characters present in the narrative. They skillfully flit from one role to another using simple accessories: a jacket for Sid Vicious, a cigarette for Patti Smith. All singers and musicians, they gracefully weave from song to song.
