In October 2026, Mathieu Desfemmes and Philippe Gautier lead 4 sessions of story-creation workshops with the participants. 30am at the library's address for the general public, in the activity room.
EN CIE DESFEMMES, which specialises in the art of storytelling, creates musical tales and builds and runs theatre and music workshops for children and adults.
The company is run by the association Le Cabaret des Oiseaux and has been active across the Île-de-France region and nationally for more than 15 years, with its shows and workshops celebrating the tale in theatres, festivals, media libraries and schools.
The company is mainly made up of a storyteller and guitarist duo: Mathieu Desfemmes collects traditional tales from the West, the East and the Americas, and offers a contemporary writing and performance of them, respecting the oral storytelling tradition of recent centuries; Philippe Gautier, guitarist, artist and teacher at the conservatoire in Essonne, sets them to music and songs.
