Rêves d'un autre monde - Projection de courts-métrages avec le GREC

For this Mois du doc, themed « à contre courant  », and echoing today's youth mobilisations, the GREC presents a screening of first documentaries by young filmmakers with singular perspectives, who share their sideways steps, their desire for another world and their dreams of elsewhere.

From Chatila, we start with Antoine Laurent (documentary, 44 min, 2018). Tarek, Sobhe and Jalal are Palestinian refugees, born in Chatila in the 1980s. There they set up a school support centre and a nursery school. They are convinced that, while waiting to return to Palestine, a civic life is possible inside the camps.

Heimat by Maële Loreau (documentary, 19 min, 2025) – in the presence of the director. In an apocalyptic Essonne, two young women from Essonne try to escape by searching for a place of refuge. Then they see, 1,200 km away, a carnival, a collective force of resistance that inspires them.

Les pirates rêvent aussi by Camille Roux (documentary, 19 min, 2023) – in the presence of the director. I decide to follow the daily life of a group of seasonal farm workers in Corsica and make a film about them. Nothing turns out the way I had imagined.
