DAY 2: ROSA CRUX MALEFIXIO GAOUTA @ Le Rex de Toulouse 2/12/2026

ROSA CRUX (goth, deathrock, dark ritual / FR)

Gothic in its purest form. (Orkus!) A total audiovisual work of art oscillating between sacred ritual and post-industrial gloom. (Monkeypress)

After more than 40 years of existence, RosaCrvx achieved from its earliest days what many seek in vain: forging a unique artistic identity and creating an authentic, incomparable universe. No doubt this is because RosaCrvx has always been far more than a simple band. It is a complex artistic project in which Olivier Tarabo, its principal creator, and Claude Feeny have shaped a singular cosmos in their native city of Rouen. Liturgical sounds, rock music, performing arts and apocalyptic visions merge into an immersive experience, and every concert becomes a striking spectacle. The group has itself designed its instruments, and their impressive carillon is among the most spectacular elements of their performances. There, their famous metal skeleton percussionists play live, holding drumsticks actuated by electromagnets, the whole thing driven by a MIDI program! It must be seen, I assure you: a genuine Gothic work of art! This invention, moreover, earned Olivier Tarabo a distinction in 2001.

Body techniques inspired by archaic societies also hold an essential place in RosaCrvx's aesthetic. Traditionally, each concert ends with the spectacular Dance of the Earth, a performance in which earth, organic materials and nudity become the elements of a ritual stimulating all the senses, in which the audience is invited to become part of a whole.
