Rumpelstiltskin
A miller boasts before the king that his daughter can spin straw into gold.
Rumpelstiltskin: 2 dates from 10 to 13 February 2027, at Badaboum Théâtre (13007 Marseille).
Checked on 27 October 2026.
Overview
A miller boasts before the king that his daughter can spin straw into gold. She is at once married off to the king. But what dismay for the little miller's daughter, when it comes to turning the heap of straw into a thread of gold! Fortunately, a mysterious sprite saves the young girl from death by doing the work in her place, thereby earning her a meteoric rise in social standing. Except that the mysterious sprite makes her promise, in return, her firstborn child.
A revolving set in the style of an old-fashioned merry-go-round and strange characters inspired by fairy-tale animals make up a colourful and tenderly unsettling show, delightfully dedicated to the youngest audiences, but not only!
Directed by Laurence Janner
With Nolwenn Le Du, Marianne Fontaine and Jean-Noël Lefèvre
