She then grew closer to her maternal grandmother, her heroine, her confidante, who encouraged her to develop her musical practice. Of Armenian origin, she idolises Barbara and Aznavour, in addition to being influenced by Patrick Watson, Agnes Obel, Billie Eilish, and Tamino.
With her music, she undertakes a necessary and urgent reconnection to her buried emotions, to aspects of her personality that she had long considered violated. Solann celebrates the union of capitalised writing and ethereal neo-folk.
