Thomas Fersen - Comme on quitte un Imperméable ,Tournée

Featuring unreleased songs as well as pieces from his existing repertoire, and performed by Thomas Fersen with three musicians, Comme on quitte un imperméable tells, in octosyllabic verse, how the hero is sent to Mexico by his father after a discouraging start in music and the loss of his part-time job as a cable installer.

Tender and funny, Thomas Fersen lends his own youthful memories to his would-be globe-trotting protagonist. With whimsy, he evokes the exoticism and lushness, the devotion and religiosity of the lands traversed, offering us an allegorical vision of his adventures.

A rite-of-passage journey, an epic as pungent as it is rambunctious, the dangers the hero faces are so many rituals marking the passage into adulthood. Tender and funny, Comme on quitte un imperméable carries us along with the poetic power of its writing.

Songwriter, composer and performer, Thomas Fersen is a singular figure in French song, with his inimitable gift for evocation.
