David Castello-Lopes - Délicieux (Tournée)

Presented by Corpus Prod. NEW SHOW « DÉLICIEUX  » I nearly called this show « Le plaisir  ». Then I realised that the only pleasures people would think of with a title like that would be the ones forbidden to under-18s.

Yet, for financial reasons, I want under-18s to be able to attend my show too. So I called it « Délicieux  »: it is a family show. In an hour and a quarter, I will try to untangle the complexity of what brings pleasure to human beings.

Of course pleasure can come from a glass of chasselas sipped slowly on the lakeshore in spring. But it can also come from the death of someone you don't like. Of course an unexpected promotion at work brings joy.

But so does eating gruyère in Gruyères, or knowing, when you are French, that you don't pronounce the “z” in Étivaz (which lets us gleefully correct all the fools who get it wrong).

My aim is for this show to give you a certain pleasure, in a mise en abyme as delicious as eating gruyère in Gruyères. David Castello-Lopes
