Overview
Thomas Dutronc presents his Jazz & Friends format on the stage of the Théâtre Municipal - Raymond Devos during the Tourcoing Jazz Festival.
As a guitarist and singer, Thomas Dutronc follows in the tradition of gypsy jazz while navigating between French chanson and standards of the genre. Influenced by Django Reinhardt, the artist has developed an acoustic style where string virtuosity engages with poetic and light lyrics, showcased on albums such as Comme un manouche sans guitare or, more recently, Frenchy.
On stage, the musician is joined by fellow instrumentalists for a warm set that highlights improvisation and the rapport between the performers. This acoustic ensemble focuses on listening and proximity to the audience, within the well-suited acoustics of this municipal theatre.
This evening is tailored for fans of jazz guitar and songs with refined arrangements, eager to discover the various facets of a timeless repertoire. The audience will enjoy a performance where humour and musical rigor go hand in hand throughout the show.
