Transparence : la première exposition du Palais des enfants

For its first exhibition, the Palais des enfants invites transparency! A playful and sensory journey for families, where artistic works and scientific experiments play with light to awaken the curiosity and wonder of the youngest visitors.

In an imaginary world, designed to awaken curiosity and have fun, young and old alike wander freely from a shimmering hall of mirrors to a crystalline treasure cave, venturing sometimes into a mysterious forest, sometimes towards a radiant sky or the depths of a multicoloured ocean.

The arts of sculpture, printmaking, and photography engage in dialogue with science, through interactive and sensory devices.

Between 19th-century creations and contemporary works, immersive pieces like those by Dan Graham and Soo Sunny Park, ideal for group discovery, and more introspective creations like those by Patrick Neu and Agathe May, the exhibition offers an original exploration that renews our perception of transparency and light.

Children and accompanying adults experiment with the multiple nuances of transparency, exchange their observations from translucency to darkness, and marvel at the riches of nature as much as the wealth of craftsmanship throughout a journey punctuated by playful and contemplative spaces.

The exhibition extends through an activity book, a podcast about transparency… and soon, mediation appointments with a series of events to go even further!
