THE PROGRAMME
“The programme ‘Crépuscule du classique, aube du romantisme’ brings to light the harmony and emotional depth of the works of two giants of classical music, Johannes Brahms and Ludwig van Beethoven. Brahms's Trio No. 1 in B major, rich in lyrical melodies and complex textures, offers an exploration of intimacy and passion, while Beethoven's Trio No. 2, Op. 70, known for its elegance and dynamism, embodies a dialogue between seriousness and lightness.
By placing them side by side, we invite the audience to feel the continuity and evolution of the musical language across the eras. Each work, while distinct, resonates with universal themes of love, loss and hope, creating a sonic journey that celebrates the creative human spirit. This concert aspires to stir hearts and awaken minds, while paying tribute to these masters of the chamber repertoire.”
