This year, like every year, P'titbout is sad: he won't be celebrating Christmas. But when Christmas Eve arrives, a dazzling light will travel to the four corners of the world and a journey will begin: each on their own, Chimon la chauchette, Bjúgnakrækir the sausage-stealing elf, Guy Pome the fir tree, and the fairy Snegourotcha will follow this light and unknowingly make their way to P'titbout's Christmas. In an ever-changing setting, Véronique Balme, sometimes narrator, sometimes actress, sometimes puppeteer, sometimes singer, will visit various folklores from England to Germany, passing through Russia or Iceland, and gradually recreate the atmosphere of a Christmas fireside corner with its fir tree, meal, candles, and other stars or Christmas stockings. By skillfully alternating modes of communication with the young audience, Véronique Balme will encourage listening and sharing in a poetic, funny, musical, visual, and interactive moment.
