Yves Cusset - No Stand Up for Old Men

The creator of a genre of which he is one of the only practitioners, philosophical comedy, Yves Cusset presents his new little gem of joyful thought! « He who has not done his stand-up before the age of 50 has wasted his life  », magnificently declared Alphonse de Lamartine.

Echoing this fine idea, the show tells the story of a white, heterosexual European man over 50, endowed with every advantage for social success and overwhelming dominance over the vast majority of his peers, who nonetheless manages to fail magnificently at everything he undertakes, with an unrivalled art of missing his own era entirely.

Nobody could say that he does not try his best to fit in: he actively practises youthism, cultivates unlimited narcissism, takes part in the movement , reads the IPCC reports, joins a woke swinger club and even organises feel-good philosophy evenings in sordid backrooms in small provincial towns… « Yves Cusset makes comedy an act of thought  » Jean Birnbaum, Le Monde.

And so as not to feel so alone, Yves Cusset has relied on the discerning and demanding outside eyes of Sarah Gabillon and Emmanuel Lortet
