Haunted by the tragic fate of Italian performer Pippa Bacca — raped and murdered while carrying out a pacifist performance across the Balkans — Carolina Bianchi exhumes fragments of an art history riddled with rapes and femicides.

Faced with this lineage of artists exposed to violence, the director and author undertakes a dizzying investigation, plunging herself into the depths of her own traumatic memory.

Following in the footsteps of the radical acts of the performers who inspire her, she puts her own body on the front line. Every night, she ingests Boa Noite Cinderela — a powerful sedative cocktail used in Brazil by certain rapists to drug their victims.

Under its effect, she surrenders her consciousness, inviting the audience to descend with her into hell; her writing then carves out a path through this interstitial space between life and death, this nightmare in which the women and artists whose traces she seeks resurface.
