Alex Sampson

Canadian singer-songwriter Alex Sampson is establishing himself as one of the most promising new voices in pop, combining the charm of the "boy next door" with sincere songwriting and an affecting vulnerability.

Raised in Atikokan, Ontario, a small town of around 2,600 residents, Sampson first gained worldwide recognition through his TikTok covers of artists such as Ruth B, Ed Sheeran and Billie Eilish, before introducing his original songs to audiences with "Stay Here", "All That We Could Have Been" and "Play Pretend".

He then released his debut EP, Blurry Vision, followed by his second, Hopeless Romantic, and qualified for the semi-finals of season 19 of America's Got Talent.

In 2026, a viral video shot by a fan during his "Thank You for Loving Me" tour revived enthusiasm for his 2024 single "Pretty Baby", which reached the Top 10 of Spotify's Viral 50 USA chart and has generated more than 50 million combined views on TikTok and Instagram.

He released "Pretty Baby (Live From Toronto)" in March, followed by his third EP, Growing Pains, on Warner Records on 5 June.

After opening for Alexander Stewart and Jamie Miller, Sampson launched his first headline tour across the United States and Canada, and he is currently touring with Freya Skye.

With a rapidly expanding repertoire and a highly engaged following on social media, he continues to reach Generation Z listeners while retaining cross-generational appeal.
