A major figure in the revival of contemporary Kabyle song, Ali Amran is a singer-songwriter. For more than thirty years he has built a distinctive body of work in which Amazigh sounds meet folk and rock in a modern, sensitive and deeply humanist style of writing. Through his songs he addresses themes of freedom, transmission, exile, the condition of women and the upheavals of the contemporary world. Carried by a warm voice and powerful melodies, his music transcends cultural boundaries and reaches an audience well beyond the Amazigh diaspora. Recognised on international stages, Ali Amran has performed in Algeria, France, Morocco, Europe, Canada and the United States. He has notably shared the stage with Idir and collaborated with many renowned artists. For this tour, he will present the tracks from his new album Gar Yigenni D Tmurt (Hors Sol), alongside the iconic songs that have marked his career. A concert between emotion, poetry and energy, celebrating the dialogue of cultures and the richness of world music. See you at the Bourse du Travail de Lyon for an exceptional evening with one of the finest voices in contemporary Kabyle song. Reservations for people with reduced mobility: 06 50 25 64 48.
