Baker Party At l'Huilerie Notre Dame

BAKER PARTY — WOODSTOCK CHIC Friday 23 October · 7pm – 1am · L'Huilerie, Marseille 6e · Free entry Peace, love & dancefloor. On 23 October, Baker Party travels back to the summer of '69 and sets up its decks at L'Huilerie for a Woodstock night, chic version.

THE VENUE Behind a carriage entrance on boulevard Notre-Dame, a stone's throw from the Vieux-Port, lies a 19th-century Marseille oil mill that has become one of the city's most distinctive spots.

Raw stone, industrial glass roofs, colourful murals on the walls, a large courtyard and rooms opening one after another: a derelict-style setting with a 'ruin bar' spirit, where you move from one atmosphere to another with a glass in hand, as if at a hidden festival in the middle of the city centre.

The ideal playground for a flower power evening. THE SOUND On the decks, DNA: sunny house, disco, funk and groovy edits of 60s and 70s classics. The psychedelic rock and soul spirit of Woodstock, tailored for the dancefloor.

And to turn up the heat, a surprise guest whose identity will not be revealed before the day. AT THE TABLE Nobody dances on an empty stomach. L'Huilerie's tapas are worth the detour alone: generous plates to share, served with house cocktails.

To enjoy the evening comfortably settled in with your crew, book your table on 06 24 51 14 38. THE DRESS CODE Vintage chic. Dig out your best 60s and 70s pieces: velvet suits, big-collared shirts, maxi dresses, satin, suede, fringing, silk scarves and tinted glasses.

The Woodstock spirit, with added elegance. Bring out the big guns.
