Barbara

Musical show This is not a concert, this is not a tribute, it is an oblique journey through the life and work of a woman—a woman in love, enthusiastic and wounded, a woman who sings.

By choosing to tell the story of the long brown lady using her tours and those essential moments when she set down her suitcases in a theatre to meet her audience as guideposts, we rediscover her from a fresh angle and through an intelligent, sensitive chronology that avoids clichés.

Ecluse 1958, Chatelet 1993, Pantin 1981... Along the way, Rafaèle Huou summons the presence of Barbara without ever trying to imitate her. Opposite her, Philippe Mangenot is a narrator with a thousand faces: at times a companion, at times a technician, tour manager or confidant.

Whether you see Barbara as an icon or have previously remained unmoved by her art, you will embark with them on a journey that is both intense and delicate.
