August 1944: Chartres has just been liberated from German Occupation. In the Giraud family, hairdressers from father to son, Pierre had to take over his father's men's salon, his father having died in a labour camp a year earlier. Marie, his mother, a French Resistance heroine, runs the women's salon, but also directs some clients to her son for a very particular activity… Everything is in order until Lise enters their lives.
