Barbara Pravi Dalida

SEATED CONCERT - FREE SEATING. After two years of touring around her album LA PIEVA, Barbara Pravi, singer-songwriter known for advocating for women's rights, will return to the stage to pay tribute to the great artist Dalida.

During an enchanted interlude, Barbara explores the repertoire of the immense Dalida.

A woman of the East (Barbara Pravi is of Iranian and Serbian origin through her maternal grandfather) thus pays homage to a diva who embraced the Mediterranean and the East in the same artistic gesture. Ease might have been to celebrate Dalida's songs in disco or piano voice.

Barbara Pravi chose to surprise herself (and in doing so surprise us) to get in touch with her not-so-distant roots. Accompanied by the Balkan quartet Aälma Dili, Barbara brings to Dalida's texts and melodies another listening, another color, thanks to Gypsy music.

Poetic and initiatory, this immersion in Dalida's songs is also an opportunity for the artist to illustrate the keen awareness she carries about the status of women, about this imperative of always wanting to strengthen sisterhood in a spirit of intense sensuality.

From an iconic and popular repertoire, Barbara Pravi draws a project of very beautiful and necessary humanity. Dalida Pravi, this could be the new name of an artist.

It will very likely become so for the duration of this show mixing borders, imagined under a sky of unexpected music.
