Overview

Caleb Shomo revealed to us the “Sick Disgusting Aggressive Disease Below The Surface”. Through a painful, solitary catharsis driven by reckless determination, the frontman and multi-instrumentalist forged Beartooth as a genuine weapon.

Pain burst into anthems as he opened himself up raw, nerve exposed. Beartooth is today one of the most important, vibrant and visceral bands in modern rock. In 2026, nearly ten years after the gold record “Hated” and the platinum record “In Between”, Caleb is finally… free.

The first fireworks of Beartooth's new partnership with Fearless Records, “Free” is a seismic single. At once engaging, melodic, powerful, loud and crushing, “Free” launches a brand new era. Beartooth was born in 2013 in Caleb's basement in Ohio.

He self-produced and played every instrument on an arsenal of tracks that are angry yet melodic, steeped in reflection and confession. Beartooth remains his message in a bottle, cast into a hungry ocean from an island made of depression, repression and confusion.

Shomo's uncompromising insistence on evolving, however daunting or risky that path may be, acts as a creative, musical and emotional balm for a legion of listeners — a balm that shimmers, glows and shakes just as much as it heals.

The discography, up to “The Surface” in 2023 (which debuted at number 1 on Billboard's Alternative and Hard Music charts, and number 2 on the Album Sales, Rock Albums and Vinyl Albums charts), has woven a grand narrative.

“Might Love Myself” reached number 1 on Billboard's Mainstream Airplay and Mediabase charts. “I Was Alive” was the 6th most-played song on rock radio in 2024, and Beartooth ranked among the 10 most-played artists. In 2026, Beartooth is an even more powerful creature.
