Bonbon Vodou is Oriane Lacaille, from a large family of Réunionnais musicians, and JereM Boucris, son of… Lacanian psychiatrists. A bittersweet confection, two voices harmonising like a dream, making auditory taste buds salivate to the pulsations of its spicy rhythm.
On her unique, custom-made mini-drum kit, Oriane gets bodies shaking; with his guitar made from an oil can, JereM makes spirits waltz with his captivating melodies. With the Piment Piment formula, Bonbon Vodou's full creolity is expressed.
Joined by Roland Seilhès on saxophone, flute and vocals; Yann-Lou Bertrand on bass, trumpet, flute and vocals; and Juliette Minvielle on percussion, keyboard and vocals; Bonbon Vodou Piment Piment explores even more deeply the maloya and the mosaic of swaying, telluric rhythms from 'original' music gathered from the four cardinal points.
