Boris M — Afrikan Heaven — 30.10.26

Originally from Côte d'Ivoire, BORIS M left his homeland to pursue his studies far from his loved ones. But music has always followed him. Steeped in the voices of his father and grandfather from childhood, he grew up with a taste for singing rooted deep within him. In France, he took his first steps on stage with African choirs and choral groups, before founding the soul-funk group "The Electric" in Paris. It was from this collective adventure that he ultimately chose to launch out on his own, as a singer and composer in his own right. Today, BORIS M draws on the intersection of his Ivorian roots and the African-American musical heritage to shape a vibrant sound world, somewhere between Afro-pop, soul and funk. His voice tells a story: that of a man who turned distance into a bridge between two worlds, and that of a man who breaks the chains of silence, using music as a language that connects the hearts of those who are ready to receive it.

Team Congo is a humanitarian organisation working alongside communities in the Democratic Republic of the Congo through education, support for survivors of sexual violence and socio-economic development initiatives, while also carrying out advocacy in favour of justice and lasting peace in the DRC.
