Overview
Performed by: Clément Viktorovitch. Written by: Ferdinand Barbet and Clément Viktorovitch. Directed and designed by: Ferdinand Barbet. Running time: 1h15.
Continuing from his book Le Pouvoir Rhétorique, Clément Viktorovitch, a PhD in political science who regularly explains his field on France Info, Clique and Quotidien, appears on stage for the first time in a biting fiction.
He plays the communications adviser to the President of the Republic who, after being abruptly ousted, seeks revenge. His weapon?
Through this first solo show, Clément Viktorovitch does more than pass on tools for decoding discourse: he questions the very place of speech in our political life.
When words are emptied of their content, when communication is reduced to an art of not saying, how can one still form an opinion? Is it still possible to debate? And what if what we have lost along the way was simply... the very meaning of democracy?
Production: Gilles Mattana/Agoram Productions and l'Académie Rhétorique.
