Colos ados - Hip Hop Games School

A week dedicated to passing on hip hop culture and the various practices of improvisation

For 5 days at Mixt, participants explore the different facets of musical theatre alongside several artists. All in a brand new, fully equipped and comfortable cultural venue in Nantes (Saint-Do district)!

On the programme: acting, singing, music and movement with the Nantes-based stage director, actor and singer Jérôme Brethomé, poet-singer Ana Igluka, and dancers Céline Grolleau and/or Anne-Pauline Parc.

Starting from a contemporary theatrical work chosen from the artists' proposals, the group will devise a short collective stage piece. Sung, musical and danced passages will be integrated into the text to create a multi-voiced piece.

A week to experiment, improvise, play and create together, accompanied by artists, culminating in a final presentation in front of an audience. Organisation From 10am to 5pm every day, at Mixt.

The week ends with a festive public sharing at Mixt, open to the public, on Friday 23 April at 6pm. Throughout the week, each participant discovers and experiments with all three disciplines: theatre, singing/music and danced movement.

Monday 19 April: Getting to know each other, discussing everyone's wishes and ideas, discovering the weekly programme and taking part in theatrical exercises to build group dynamics. Then, choosing the text that will serve as the starting point for creation.

Tuesday 20 and Wednesday 21 April: Discovery and experimentation of the three disciplines, followed by initial trials and the beginning of collective creation. Thursday 22 April: Staging and assembling the various creations to build the final form.

Friday 23 April: Final rehearsals, staging and collective preparation for the evening performance. 30pm: public showing open to everyone! For lunch, everyone brings their own picnic. Who is it for? Young people aged 12 to 15. Open to all levels, with or without experience.

Skills in music, singing or dance are welcome,
