Overview
Norwegian pop star Dagny unveils her new single “Closet Disco Queen”, the first taster from a full album due this summer, which precedes her headline concerts at the Øya festival and Bergenfest. Produced by Matias Tellez (girl in red, AURORA) and co-written with Nick Hahn (ZAYN, Mimi Webb, aespa), “Closet Disco Queen” is a bright pop track driven by synths, built on winding, elastic synth lines and an infectious rhythm. It pairs polished production with Dagny’s unrestrained vocals, before breaking into euphoric choruses you feel like singing along to. Lyrically, the song revolves around the idea of shedding shyness and allowing yourself to show who you are, whatever your appearance, as summed up by its repeated mantra: “be yourself / love yourself / express yourself”. In 2025, Dagny toured extensively across Europe and Norway, headlining numerous Norwegian festivals and opening for Jess Glynne and Justin Timberlake. She is now announcing a date in Paris on 6 February 2027 at La Maroquinerie!
