Discover the work of Nicole Lala, a photojournalist whose pictures bear witness to her era and to her singular view of the world. Through the exhibition “Lala photographie sa ville”, installed on the railings of the Jardin Villemin, take a guided stroll through her work in the presence of her daughter, Delphine Bonnet. The walk will be followed by a meeting at La Librairie du Canal, where Delphine Bonnet will present her book Lala, je te vois où que tu sois, published by Éditions du Chêne. Drawing on photographs and period documents, she traces the story of her mother, a photojournalist for the magazine Regards and a set photographer, who worked alongside many of the great figures of French cinema. She also reveals the intimate story of a mother-daughter relationship, shaped by the gaze Nicole Lala turned on her daughter over more than twenty-five years. This meeting will be an opportunity to discover a singular photographic body of work, long overlooked, and to delve into the story of a woman and of an era.
