A rebellious teenager in 1980s Tokyo, DJ Krush discovered his calling after stumbling upon the film Wild Style. The impact was immediate: he immersed himself in hip-hop culture.

Initially active alongside breakdance groups, he founded Krush Posse in 1987 before launching his solo career in 1992, quickly gaining public attention as the first DJ to use turntables as a live instrument.

Influenced by artists such as Miles Davis and James Brown, he developed a style blending hip-hop, jazz, and soul.

Following KRUSH, his debut album released in 1994, he joined the Mo'Wax label "Strictly Turntablized" and gradually established himself as a major figure in experimental hip-hop.

Numerous collaborations, collective projects, and soundtracks have since punctuated a career marked by constant sonic exploration, leading to recent albums like Butterfly Effect (2015).

In 2024, his album -Saisei- marks a new chapter, his first independent release four years after Trickster. The meanings are plural: Playing music, Reconstruction to revive something, Renaissance to bring art back to life. Always in search of a new sound that transcends barriers.

The artist will present his new album, set to be released in summer 2026, at the Transbo club!!!
