Overview
Join us on Saturday 3 October at 5:30 PM for a DJ set at the media library!
Come and dance to the DJ Set by Omar EK, a Moroccan artist who offers an immersive electro atmosphere tinged with North African rhythms. A self-taught musician, Omar EK began his musical journey in Casablanca, his hometown.
Influenced by his collaborations with Arab-African musicians, this change of scenery inspired him to deepen his exploration of this rich territory.
It was through electronic music that he conceived the idea of traversing the musical heritage of the continent where he was born, inscribing his aesthetic within a progressive and modern Africa.
For one track, he will be accompanied by students from the choreographic workshop of the Ecole des Arts du Centre Culturel de Lesquin (Élise's class) for a unique dance performance!
