Monolord + Dopelord

Monolord is a Swedish doom/stoner trio known for their massive, earth-shaking riffs, hypnotic grooves and emotionally charged atmospheres.

Formed in Gothenburg in 2013, the band — made up of Thomas Jäger (guitar/vocals), Esben Willems (drums) and Mika Häkki (bass) — quickly established itself as an unmissable reference of the modern doom scene, releasing internationally acclaimed albums and touring intensively across Europe, North and South America, as well as major festivals such as Hellfest, Desertfest, Psycho Las Vegas and Roadburn.

Their records, including Empress Rising, Vænir, Rust and No Comfort, have firmly cemented their reputation, blending crushing fuzz with subtle melodic lines and immersive, repetition-based compositions.

Now considered one of the most consistent and best-loved bands on the heavy scene, Monolord is about to open a new chapter with a new album due out in 2026, produced by legendary engineer Sylvia Massy and released on Relapse Records.
