Free admission during the European Heritage Days

Ticket desks close 45 minutes before the site closes. Exhibition galleries close 15 minutes before the site closes.

Free admission on presentation of proof: jobseekers, RSA or minimum old-age allowance recipients; children under 18; major war invalids, severely disabled civilians and veterans; disabled visitors plus 1 companion; national and regional conference guides and interpreters; journalists (press card); members of ICOM, ICOMOS and AICA; holders of the Culture card (Ministry of Culture and Communication) plus 1 companion; Maison des artistes; Friends of the MuCEM.

Family ticket: valid for up to 5 children accompanied by 2 adults. Adults not accompanied by minor children will not be able to enter the galleries with a family ticket.

Located at the entrance to the Vieux-Port, the Mucem has been the must-see museum in Marseille since it opened in 2013. Internationally renowned for its architecture, which blends technical feat and aesthetic power, the Mucem is the major museum devoted to the Mediterranean. Its two buildings, the J4 and the fort Saint-Jean, lead us on a walk between sky and sea, heritage and modernity, city and gardens. Its exhibitions present the major cultural, social, scientific and political questions of the Euro-Mediterranean world, past and present, mixing art, anthropology, history, archaeology…
