Faust

The German krautrock and experimental rock band Faust takes to the stage at the Théâtre Jean-Claude Carrière, within the Domaine d'O.

Formed in 1971 in Hamburg, the collective Faust belongs to the grand tradition of krautrock and German experimental rock. Active for more than five decades, the band continues to explore unique sonic textures, blending traditional instruments, industrial percussion and magnetic tape manipulation. On the stage of the Théâtre Jean-Claude Carrière, the performance highlights a radical approach to sound, where improvisation and acoustic research take centre stage.

The audience in the venue will discover an artistic proposition rooted in the history of laboratory music, delivered by musicians who have influenced many generations of creators. This stop in Montpellier offers the chance to hear live a rare ensemble whose discography began as early as 1971 with the release of a first record on Polydor Records.

This event is intended for fans of sonic curiosities and demanding live performances, eager to engage with an artistic approach free from traditional commercial formats. The setting of the Domaine d'O is hosting this production as part of its cultural programming.
