Frantz

They are five. Five actors trained at the École internationale de théâtre Jacques Lecoq, masters of the art of movement, singing, mime and sound effects. With delightful inventiveness, they bring to life Frantz, the story of a young man whose daily life is turned upside down by the disappearance of his father.

Using simple objects – paper, plastic bags, buckets of water, sheet metal or drills – they create striking soundscapes and a richly teeming visual world in real time. Every sound becomes an emotion, every object a character, every gesture an invitation to travel.

Blending object theatre, music and artisanal cinema, Frantz unfolds an imaginary world of astonishing richness, where humour and poetry constantly echo one another.

Accessible to the whole family, this show of rare creativity celebrates the power of play and the magic of theatre. A sensory and inventive adventure that delights as much as it moves.
