With Les Automnales, the Conservatoire Hector Berlioz is launching a new cultural event that will mark the start of every season, from September to November.

True to its mission, the conservatoire asserts its role as a place of community life, creation and artistic dissemination, open to everyone. Because culture is meant to be shared, all events are offered free of charge, subject to the number of seats available.

The Masque et Musique workshop of the Conservatoire Hector Berlioz invites you to a tragicomic farce, both tragic and fantastical, in which two families, determined to flee a piece of bad news so as to preserve a joyful occasion, reveal their most ferocious selfishness.

Through a succession of ever more burlesque situations, Levin paints a cruel portrait of a society ready to step over corpses to reach a goal that is ultimately absurd.

The story of Funérailles d'hiver is one of a great fantastical and burlesque escape, set off by the unfortunate coincidence of two major events. On one side, cousin Shratzia marries her only daughter Vélvétsia to Popotshenko.

On the other, cousin Latshek Bobitshek mourns the death of his mother who, before she left him, made him promise a fine funeral, attended by the whole family. And so he sets off by night, through driving rain, to break the terrible news to Shratzia.

The family then decides to take to its heels to avoid hearing the distressing news. And the flight begins, a total and absolute flight, drawing Latsheck into an absurd journey through places as varied as they are deranged.
