GAÂDA Diwane de Béchar
You don't really watch a gaâda from afar.
Overview
You don't really watch a gaâda from afar. You experience it. In the Algerian South, people gather, settle in, chat, and eventually the music takes over completely. GAÂDA Diwane de Béchar was born from this spirit.
The group draws inspiration from Béchar, Touat, Gourara, and the high plateaus. Orally transmitted songs, Arab-Berber rhythms, the sound of the guembri, bendir, and karkabous… blended with violin, guitars, bass, drums, and a touch of blues.
On Friday 16 October, no need to cross the Sahara: the gaâda is happening at Le Hangar.
