Gashka invites you on a joyful, nostalgic musical journey to the heart of the Balkans, with lively, irresistible rhythms and melodies drawn from Russian, Hungarian and Moldovan traditions, klezmer and, of course, gypsy music!
Tonight, Gashka is joined by Serge Camps, a true legend of gypsy music and jazz. Serge began playing guitar and double-bass balalaika at the age of 14.
Hired by Ivan Rebroff, he accompanied him for more than twenty years around the world and in the most prestigious venues (Carnegie Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Philharmonie de Berlin…).
He has recorded with many artists from the gypsy and jazz scene, notably on the celebrated Gypsy Guitars albums featuring Angelo Debarre and Franck Anastasio, and with the group Opus 4.
