Gros Monsieur

Gros Monsieur is a bridge built between cultures: a sunny artist who reconciles the poetry of French song with the irresistible groove of afro-pop.

Born in France, of Berber origin, and growing up between the housing estates and the wealthy neighbourhoods has often meant, for Gros Monsieur, feeling different and like everyone else at the same time.

It is nourished by this multiple culture that he became a self-taught songwriter, composer and performer. He then toured more than 400 stages in France and abroad with his first group, Wailing Trees, growing his love of live music and of people with every concert.

He then created Gros Monsieur, a project closer to himself, in order to be closer to them. Musically, Gros Monsieur wants to bring people together, harmoniously combining poetic lyrics with world music grooves.

A true musical diplomat, he turns our doubts into a collective celebration, honouring the extraordinary that lies dormant in each of us.
