Hippocampe Fou

Presented by Office culturel vallée de l'Hérault PLATE-SV L-R-2-015865 / L-R-3-015874

Hippocampe Fou continues to carve out his own path. For more than ten years, he has explored the depths of language with rare ease, blending verbal acrobatics inherited from Boby Lapointe or Brassens with the flows of Busta Rhymes, Saïan Supa Crew or MC Solaar. His rich, inventive writing has also earned him recognition as the French-language rapper with the most diverse vocabulary (study conducted by Rap Minerz, 2023). On stage, his mastery of flow gives substance to his stories: each track becomes a cinematic adventure, moving between humour and poetry. Four years after a memorable appearance in Gignac, Hippocampe Fou returns to Le Sonambule with a new album. A joyful dive into an imagination that remains as fertile as ever.

+ Minus

If Hippocampe Fou juggles with words, Minus electrifies them. The same taste for storytelling, the same freedom of writing, the same desire to bend reality in order to tell it better. With their new album Contes Électriques, the trio unfolds high-tension stories where nervous rock and electro pop collide under an alternating current. The tragic and grotesque tales are embodied by narrator Justin Dreveton, accompanied by the humming bass of Myriem Bayad and the incisive percussion of Adrien Lagarde. Minus does not merely chronicle our era: it transforms it into a captivating sonic adventure.
