Overview
After a sold-out 2026 edition, the Bal d'Hiver returns to Le Sonambule to open the new season of the Trad'Sessions in fine style! For one evening, the hall becomes a vast dance floor where all generations meet: seasoned dancers and the evening's curious alike. Everyone finds their place in this great winter balèti.
To launch this new edition, the quartet Èdra will deploy its "musiques à danser" (music for dancing). Like the ivy whose name it takes, the group weaves links between inheritance and contemporary creation, between rootedness and the drive towards tomorrow. Music shaped for dancing and for meeting others.
A second group will complete the evening, which promises rondeaux, bourrées, scottishes and other communal dances that bring bodies as well as hearts closer together.
The Bal d'Hiver marks the kick-off of the Trad'Sessions, an itinerant season of traditional music bringing together Paloma, Victoire 2, La Moba, Le Cratère and Le Sonambule around one shared aim: to discover, champion and keep alive traditional dance music.
