Overview
Ibeyi is a duo formed around the twin sisters Lisa-Kaindé and Naomi Diaz, daughters of Cuban percussionist Miguel "Anga" Díaz, a member of the Buena Vista Social Club. The group's name refers to twins in the Yoruba tradition. Its music combines R'n'B, soul, funk, gospel and reggae, with lyrics sung notably in English, Spanish and Yoruba.
The duo's repertoire draws on its albums Ibeyi (2015) and Ash (2017), which brought its compositions beyond France. The group originates from Paris, where it was formed.
The Krakatoa venue, located in Mérignac, hosts concerts and shows. This concert will appeal to fans of soul, R'n'B and Afro-Latin music.
