J'Oublie Tout

Julien, a young boy from the south of France, hears rapper Jul on the radio for the first time. He becomes a fan — of his music, his messages, his way of life. He, the young "scrapyard kid", identifies with the Marseille artist who becomes a genuine lifeline.

Through his journey, the show sensitively tackles the search for identity, how others see us, and that burning need to exist when you don't really feel like you belong.

With minimalist staging — a camping chair, a can of Oasis, a speaker — the character's world takes shape before he even speaks: simplicity, fragility, humour and everyday poetry.

Neither a biography nor a tribute, the show uses Jul as a backdrop to talk about a whole generation searching to define itself in a world where dreams can sometimes feel out of reach. An intimate and universal story in which many young people will recognise themselves.
