Janus Rasmussen

Faroese musician Janus Rasmussen presents his electronica project on the stage of Le Pop-Up du Label in Paris.

Janus Rasmussen is a producer and multi-instrumentalist originally from the Faroe Islands, based in Reykjavik. He made a name for himself on the international electronic music scene through various projects, notably the duo Kiasmos founded alongside Icelandic composer Ólafur Arnalds, as well as his work with the electro-pop band Bloodgroup. His music is characterised by stripped-back electronic textures, subtle rhythms and melancholic melodies, combining the aesthetic of minimal techno with the rigour of instrumental composition.

On stage, Janus Rasmussen generally performs solo with his set of machines, synthesisers and MIDI controllers. His live shows, rooted in hypnotic repetition and progressive tempo builds, particularly appeal to fans of electronica and melodic techno. The Le Pop-Up du Label venue offers an intimate setting well-suited to this type of concert, allowing for attentive listening close to the technical performance and live production work.
